Bocw applicability

We are a construction company, and we have given a sub-contract to an Air-Condition Company for the Installation and service of AC at our entire office and such premises

We have asked to this company for BOCW registration, but they replied, "If the work is done for self use and the cost of work is less than Rs. 10,00,000/- then it will not be covered under BOCW Act. And the Installation and servicing of AC will not be costing more than Rs.10 Lakhs. So we need not to take any Registration under BOCW Act"
