Birth certificate problem for applying passport

Hi all, I am an engineer and got a job in Hyderabad. I have to join there on 30th september. They asked for my passport. I have none. So when I approached the passport office, I came to know I need the original Birth Certificate. I have that. But the problem is the DOB in my BC is 20/12/1990, whereas my DOB in all other documents i.e. voter card, PAN card, Admit cards of School (Secondary and HS) is 01/05/1991. So it has become a problem for me to apply for a new passport. In this perspective, I went through same questions asked before in this very forum. From the answers what I understood, I have to make a new BC by applying to the court. Now the problem is as the time is very short, it seems quite a time-consuming work to get a new BC. So in that case, will a mere affidafit for a Birth Certificate work for applying for a fresh passport? Or I must have to get a new BC anyway regardless the amount of time it takes?
