Recently, I bought a flat as resale from an underconstruction project. The project is near completion, due in 6months. Builder has already issued flat keys but possession letter is not given and OC / CC not yet received.
The lawyer completed an assignment deed with the vendor (who did an agreement to sale with builder in 2020) and we have paid the required stamp duty and registration fees.
Why did the lawyer do assignment deed and not sale deed? What is the difference? Do I need to do anything to get a sale deed once society is formed?
