Apeal court denied for compounding

Respected Members,

I fought a cheque bounce case from 1996 of amount 8480/-. In earlier stage my opponent received Rs. 6000/- for compromise and before judgement of lower court in Sept 2011 they demanded Rs. 200000/- for compromise. Now apeal court reject petition for compounding as per guideline of supreme court because my opposition not agree. I am PSU employee and what is better option for me. Plz help me
