American on visit visa

I am an American citizen,58Yrs old and for the last 8 years I am in India in visit visa , however I exit every 180 days to abide by the law ,Now my question is weather I am eligible for buying property in India if so kindly help me with the particular piece of information and law.Thanks in advance.

As per constitutional provision article 5 you were citizen of India by NRO( non ordinary resident of India).

To purchase property u need to have other valid ID proof with you.

If u want to purchase land then u must have land record document in your name or your fathers name.
