Am i legally entitled to ask for partition?

Ours is an old two stored building and we are the owners of the ground floor only and my father's sister is the owner of the first floor as per the legal documents.

I want to part ways with them. So my question is do I have the right to ask for partition of plot into two equal halves so that I can have my own half completely independently?
