We have engaged retired employees from railway (Age above 60) . My query is whether PF and EPS is applicable to these employees ?

We have engaged retired employees from railway (Age above 60) . My query is whether PF and EPS is applicable to these employees ?

The retired employee might be a government pensioner (Not a pensioner of EPFO) and may be included in PF scheme. The entire contribution of employer 12%+Employee’s share12% may be remitted in EPF and nothing goes to EPS.
