My neighbour who lives behind my house burnt dust near to our window and my whole house was suffocating with smoke, I have my mother living with us who is a heart patient, I went up to the lady and asked her does she have common sense and poured water to put out the fire, she picks up the broom and hits me with it, I have given a police complaint on her behavior, kindly advise what should I do regarding this.

Write a letter to the conerned Sho of your area and mention about the health condition of your mother seeking restrain against your neighbour.
this is private nuisance.

follow it up with police through counsel, failure to get FIR done, file petition in jurisdiction magistrate court asking police to probe the matter and file report.
