Adverse possession of a private cremation ground

My family had a Private Cremation Ground which was given by the then Maharaja.  We have record to prove that.

Somehow, in the records it was mentioned as Agriculture Land.  Although during state time there was a suit for "Lagaan" on this land which was decided as pronouncing this land as given for cremation, hence, no "Lagaan" was applicable.

My Grandfather was cremated in the ground in 1964 and afterwards death in the family occured only in 2006.  At that point of time we came to know that the creamation ground has been occupied by some people and they have made houses.

Please guide me what to do?
