Add wife's name in home registration if sale deed does not..

Hi Experts,

Next week (by 10th April 2014) I'm planning to get my flat (in Bangalore) registered. However yesterday I got a surprise when my SBI Bank agent said that I CANNOT get my flat registered jointly in My & my wife's name, since, the Sale Deed was only in my name. I did the sale deed in April 2013 last year & I was not aware at that time that Registration & Sale Deed is connected.

Please let me know what Legal options I have so that I can get the flat registration done jointly with my wife ?

Note:- Gift Deed option exists but only after Registration. In my Scenario the registration is still pending.

if you have sale agreement in both name or you and your wife paid the purchase amount regarding the flat, you can Add wife's name in the sale deed.

if you have another matter kindly describe well fully.
