Abuse of equal share in property during divorce

Dear lawyers,

I'm a roman catholic and got married in 2008. The marriage did not work out and we both started to live separately since 3 years. My wife is not willing to give a divorce as she thinks its a sin. But I am not willing to stay with her due to her mental torture. Hence I want to end this peacefully thru MCD and move on with my life.

Here is the twist - After the recent bill passed by the govt that wife has 50% of share in the residential property, she is now threatening to file a dowry & mother in law harrassment case to claim compensation.

I am staying in my own house with my brother. The house was constructed by my mother and the property is in mothers name.

Will my wife be able to claim a share in the property?

What are my chances to counter-attack this case and chase her away?
