My friends has a property which was earlier a joint ownership property under her name and her ex-husband. The House is mortgaged with a Co-Op Bank. The share certificate of the society holds only the name of her ex-husband on it. They got divorced and now the husband has released his share of 50% of the house by way of Registered Gift Deed. So now my friend alone is the 100% owner of the property. her ex-husband has not given any letter to the society to transfer the Share Certificate on her name. He is bit lazy and rude. What can be d[one to get the Share certificate under my friends name now....?
