Query about will

Dear Sir, I have a Query regarding registered WILL . Testator has done a WILL in year 1988 at Sub registrar office , Will witness says that Testator has done WILL in VERBATIM . WILL was type in ENGLISH but testator knows only Hindi language and she also sign in Hindi in register WILL at SR .. Now opposition claims that this WILL got drafted earlier and contents of WILL was not not known to Testator ..Please suggest me is there any judgment from any court on English language WILL and testator sign in Hindi language is genuinely done and without any doubt ...Dear Sir please help me in my query ..

Dear querist,

 

Ordinarily the language of the documents should be what is understood by person making or signing it but there is no law such that otherwise document will be invalid.

 

In your case what witness has to say is important for now if they say content of the WILL was explained to Testator then he signed then will be treated as Valid.
