Change of date of birth on passport

I need to change the  date of birth in son's passport.He is 5 years old . The date of birth mentioned in my son's passport is his  actual date of birth, but according to  all other records (educational records/  his date of birth is different. I want to change his date of birth in m his  passport as well to match other certificates later on in his life . I need to do this change as his passport has expired and i need to renew it now . What will be the course of action ?
