In DV act it states that the place where husband and wife living in a shared household either rented,purchased by husband or husband living in a joint family.
If the husband is a government employee then it can also mean the shared home which is a government accomodation.As per the DV the wife has rights to stay in this shared accomodation.Now other point states that living together as husband and wife.Please note that in Hindu marriage if its done as per Hindu ceremonies its considered a valid marriage but Hindu law also states that till the husband and wife did not consumate the marriage is not complete and they are not husband and wife so in this case one cannot file DV.
