My brither is working as a jr.officer management cadre with private operated container terminal (service industry) he is working in 12 hours duty i.e.3 Day 3 Night and 3 Off it means he is getting rest 36 hours after doing 72 duty per week.Kindly advice me is it legal as per Indian labour law.

Normal duty hrs are Eight Hrs a day, however, it is applicable only to workers and not officers of the company.
