*summon case* 498a, 406 - type of bail?

Folks,

After failing twice in filing FIR U/s 498a in two different cities, opposite side finally succeeded in admitting the Private Complaint in Amritsar District Court. Magistrate took cognizance of the case and has ordered summons to be sent for 3 out of 6 accused in the complaint.

I've asked my lawyer to keep an eye on the detailed order which are still to be released.

Apparently, this is a "SUMMON CASE".

My question is: - Which type of BAIL should I apply for? Regular Bail on appearance or Anticipatory Bail?

On asking my lawyer, he said that Anticipatory bail will be required since getting Regular Bail is dicey and it can be denied.

However, when I inquired with other experts, they opined that I must get Regular Bail as a MATTER OF RIGHT upon our first appearance.

... I've been left utterly confused!

Can you *experts* please help me with your opinions?

Thanks in advance!
