"navin shart" forest land

Hi Experts,

I have inherited agri land in Pune district. For one of the 7-12 extract document it has been mentioned as - "Forest jaminipaiki navin shart".

i.e. "navin shart" forest land.

what does it exactly mean? what are disadvantages if I want to sale it or use for some commercial purpose?

and if any way to convert it to normal agri land?

Please suggest.

Unlike other legal matters, revenue matters are very complicated and the words used are even more complicated.  Hence, the local lawyers would only be knowing the exact meaning.  Otherwise purchase a legal dictionary (especially of revenue matters) and find out the meaning.  Or you can also visit the Mandal Revenue Office/Collector office, they will tell the exact meaning.

To my knowledge, it seems to be Forest land (Govt land), hence, you will not get any right.  If your land is acquired by Forest land then you will get compensation as per existing market rate.  Enquire with your elders and ancestors whether the land was your own patta land and later it was acquired by Forest department.

It is always better to consult a local lawyer who is conversant with the local laws and expertise on such issues for his opinion and proceed as per his  advise.
