Solitary witness enough to prosecute

(Querist) 09 May 2015 This query is : Resolved
I was assaulted by a Police Inspector which resulted in a GREVIOUS INJURY. I filed a PCR, but police did not File a FIR but the now Court has taken cognizance under 200 CrPC. I am fighting it out by myself. Now none of witnesses have come forward to testify. So i will have to jsut rely on my Evidence and the Wound Certificate issued by the Government Hospital. Kindly help me with citations where "Solitary Witness and the Medical Certificates are enough to Prosecute the Accused". Especially when a Policeman is the accused

YES: The term and expression quality witness is not defined in EA. But the evidence tested by cross examination which leave no room for doubt in the minds of the court is acted upon by the court. As the court is concern only with the quality of the witness and not the number of witnesses, and this principle is consistently followed in all the courts in the country.

See that t he solitary witness will stand by U for testifying in the court.U have to obtain the copy of the registration form at the time of admission in the hospital, what reasons for the wounds are mentioned in it.
