Father wants to give his immovable property (self acquired house property) to his son, whether this document i.e. Gift Deed will be executed on ₹ 500/- stamp. Please tell me about the provision of stamp duty of Gift Deed.

Rs.500 stamp seems to be quite inadequate.

Stamp duty differs from state to state. So, better check with Sub-Registrar office or a property law advocate.

Dear Nandini ji....
Why gift deed.....even father can transfer to his son by their duly executed will since son is their LH. It's best way to avoid stamp duty legally.
Adv Prashant (Expert) 24 January 2017
But difference between Will and Gift deed is that Will legally applicable after death of father but Gift deed will have immediate effect subject to clause specified therein.
