(Querist) 13 November 2017 This query is : Resolved
hi sir my mother converted christian but my father is not converted he is hindu belongs to SC Caste but VRO did not given SC CERTIFICATE HOW I GET SC CERTIFICATE IN THIS WHO IS CORRECT ME OR VRO URGENT SIR
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 14 November 2017
cast status of mother does not effect you caste status. Meet higher authority.

Is VRO the same thing which is called Patwari/Lekhpal/Village Accountant in other parts of country
Ms.Usha Kapoor (Expert) 14 November 2017
You approach Local Tehsil Office or Tehsildar and he would issue s caste certificate based on your father's SC caste as father's caste alone would be taken into account while issuing caste certificate to their children.Take your father's certificate showing he belongs to SC along while approaching Tehsildar to issue your caste certificate.

Tehsil office will just do nothing without patwari report in your favour.

Government departments take their own time even more time than prescribed limit. Let the procedure be completed.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 15 November 2017
what help do you expect from this forum on the procedure laid down by govt deptts.

this forum has no mandate to interfere in tehsil office job.

I agree with experts, nothing more to add.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 16 November 2017
Whatever this VRO stands for or IT is, if IT is to perform duty but IT is not performing IT’s duty, you may approach IT’s superior authority with details of the matter and request the authority to act.
During the inquiry if any, the caste of mother and father should come out to form a decision.
