divorce petition with in 2 month due to cruelty by husband

My friend got married before 2 month. after marriage she knew that her husband is very gredy and demanding dowry. he is very cruel and tortured her very badly. she has decided to get divorce from him. She doesn't want to spend time in punishig his husband because procedure is very time taking. She is a Government employee and doesn't have time but wants to take out herself from this marriage as soon as possible. what is the best legal advise.

Fastest procedure for divorce is Mutual consent Divorce.

Can be filed after one year, may take 6 to 18 months in divorce.

Contested divorce may take years.

Since marriage is just two months old, not enough time to understand each other and form opinion.

Better try to adjust and save marriage.

Divorce procedure can be started afterwords also.

Her husband is not agree for divorce but it is very difficult to live with him because he is very much cruel and tortured her very badly. he is chronic alcohlic. what is the procedure of getting divorce.

Why you are so keen to settle your friend for divorce?
Create an environment for their amicable settlement for their matrimonial life and not for divorce, if you are really her friend.
Restoration to legal avenue is disastrous, rather fatal, for the couple in their married life.
Prima facie it is an academic query.
