Fake gold bills

My wife has lodged false 498a case against me. After long from date of F.I.R, my Father-In-Law submitted (Fake) gold bills to I.O. It's already been 5 years from the shown date of purchase of Gold (My marriage).

Have read Mr. Shonee's comment somewhere that we can't verify the gold bills from even Sales Tax department through R.T.I after 4 years.

So, please suggest how can I prove that those gold bills are fake.

What was the date of the invoice now produced by the F-in-Law?

When was the FIR filed?

Bills themselves can only help in proving that the father-in-law has purchased gold; not that it has handed over to you or your wife.

your father in law will have to examine the gold smith from who gold was purchased to prove the purchase . you would be entitled to cross examine the jeweller

The goldsmith / jeweler would be examined and you would have the opportunity to cross examine the jeweler.

By merely producing the bills for purchase of gold, will not mean that the same was given as dowry, he has to establish the same through substantial evidence, this can be broken by skilful cross examination. Rely on your lawyer by passing necessary instruction to tackle the issue.
