My wife has booked me and my family U/S 323,342,354,34 by giving false and fabricated complaint in the Police station that we have beaten her at Metro station. She is working as copywriter in Doordarshan News. On that day, she alongwith her few collegues came to the police station and did acting and got registered an FIR aganist us. She misused her position of working in DD News alongwith few employees, police registered the case under Media Pressure.
We are also working for DD News as Video shooting provider. Me and my family reputation has spoiled in the eyes of Doordarshan and thier employees.
Can we file defamation suit aganist Doordarshan saying that your one employee has misused her position alongwith few employees and got registered fir aganist us in the family matter.

No! Not a defamation case but a suit of malicious Prosecution could be filed in case of acquittal after trial.
