Society registration

The builder has registered the society. Now at the first general meeting the builder has also elected the managing committee.

At this general meetging, there was no proper quorm..as there were only 8 Members present. Out of the 8 only 2 were entitled to serve as
any executives of the Society... the rest are yet to be formally accepted as Members.

Is this committee legal / Valid? What should have been the actual procedure?

how many flats have been sold by the builder ?

in the first AGM builder hands over aduited accounts which are duly approved by members . the members elect the Managing Committee .

if there is no quorum meeting is adjorned for half an hour and then commences again .

members can elect again their office bearers and are not bound by the verdict of builder.

please note that builder does not elect amnaging committee . the first meeting is held in presence of representative of builder , registrar office . you are under a misconception that builder elects Managing committe e

This committee appears to be illegal and invalid.
Pleae refer to the bylaws of the society for actual proceedures to be followed.

if n.a. , Society does not exist.

The societies bye laws only decided the qualification of the member, quorum etc.
