I was tenent in a city for past fourteen years.I begin with rent of 1250.It was increased up to 7500 gradually, all of suddenly landlord filed suit demanding 3 time the rent befour two year thare is no balance of rent i vacated the premises before one year . Landlord continued the suit demanding the diffrence amont of rent what should i do ...... what will be thejudgement in this regard .

Usually every state has its own Rent Act wherein there is a provision for fixation of Fair Rent.
So you prove your case of fair rent. Moreover you are not liable for rent of the period not occupied by you.
