You are totally silent about what was the terms of paying the money if you leave the company before a certain period of time.

If the job contract signed by you and the company is breached by you, then you have face its stipulated consequences.Else you have nothing to worry.

Software co. are very strict, as usually trained staff leaves their co.after training and experience, for higher pay elsewhere.
If you had genuine problem of health etc, write with proof & documents, and your willingness to continue in job.

Companies meant for profit earning cannot be expected to rely on irresponsible employees and waste their earnings on such wasteful human capital, who don't even care for informing the management about reason fot his absenting, what to say of taking prior sanction of leave due to him.

You should have acted responsibly while in service of the company from which you expect earning of your bread & butter.

Now it will be better if you try for some other company/ But be careful to be sincere in your duties and behave responsibly while in service, otherwise you would be playing with your own career.
