Can apartment association can pass a law against bachelors

Hello, can an apartment association pass a law, saying that owners can not rent their property to bachelors or paying guests. Owners can rent only to families. Also, can association has rights to ask more maintenance money from existing bachelors on the ground of more usage or misuse of resources (like water).

NO. Such laws, if passed, are illegal. The society will land in trouble.

well although it is illegal even in mumbai many cooperative societes pass resolution in AGM and deny benefits to bachelors / paying guests .

in such a case you can move court against harassment done by association . issue legal notice

then if it is so u may challenge it....
