Regarding divorce

Hi My name is Pooja.M married since 2013 and have a 2and half year old boy.M living in UK right now.We got married in Chandigarh.I want to ask that Can I get a divorce here in UK by hindu marriage act because I dont want to come back to India.What about the property my husband has? Is there anything I am eligible to ask regarding property since I am his married wife still?Can I ask something for my child too?My husband has so many properties in Chandigarh and Gurgaon.
I will tell you know later why I want divorce If it is required.

you can claim property of your husband after his death provided you are not divorced till that date.

To get divorce in UK, you should know the rules of that place by consulting local lawyer.

At this stage you have no claim on the property of your husband, if you are unemployed, you can ask maintenance. However, your son is entitled for maintenance.

Presently you have no claim on property, you can claim if he expires intestate and you have not got divorce.

If your husband expires intestate, after divorce your son can claim share in the property with other legal heirs.

Divorce and property, two things cannot go side by side. You will have to forget about property, if get divorce. Only your son can get due share of property that too after the death of your husband.

In case the husband agrees he may agree to give some property/estate/cash as permanent alimony................
