As a practicing advocate for over a decade, I've come too see that strike is often used as a 'political' stunt to coerce the Bench or the legislature. It's not fair for lawyers to go on strike. Of course, it would be very grave indeed if the Judiciary or the Parliament takes any steps to curb the freedom and independence of lawyers, but the solution out of it should be the process of law and not strike. If lawyers cannot seek justice for themselves from Courts without going on strike we lawyers will defeat the whole process of law. | |
