Delhi HC Issues Timeline For Completing Age Determination Of Juveniles In Conflict With Law

The Delhi High Court has issued directions for streamlining the process of inquiries relating to juveniles in conflict with law and scrupulous compliance by all authorities. The directions were issued by Justice Siddharth Mridul and Justice Anup J Bhambhani. The name of the case was Court on its Own Motion v. State. The Court noted that the long pendency of cases was due to pandemic, where children were not produced before the JJ Boards.

Madras HC: Reinstatement Of Workman Can Be Done Only To Original Place Of Employment, Transfer Not Legally Sustainable

The Madras High Court has reiterated the principle that a reinstatement order won't be valid if the employee is not reinstated back to his original place of employment. The decision was given by Justice M.S. Ramesh. The name of the case was Management, Micro Labs Limited v. Patil Veershetty & Anr. The observation was made while disposing off a plea seeking last drawn wages under Section 17B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.

A vacation bench of the Bombay High Court has set aside a special court's order remanding former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukhin judicial custody and remanded him back in the Enforcement Directorate's custody in the money laundering case.
