MP HC awards compensation in sub inspector's death

 The Madhya Pradesh High Court awarded compensation to the wife of a police Sub-Inspector, who died in an accident while performing duty at the court’s Gwalior bench.



A Division Bench, comprising Justices Deepak Mishra and R K Gupta, while hearing the petition of Ms Shushila Bai, wife of deceased Sub-Inspector Mahesh Singh, awarded Rs three lakh compensation yesterday.



The Sub-Inspector was the security in charge of the Gwalior bench of the High Court. He died in an accident at the court’s premises in 1998.



Ms Shushila filed the petition in the Gwalior bench and was transferred to Jabalpur Principal Seat. The case came for hearing after 11 years of the accident.
