1.    SC on judgment writing in women related cases

•    The Supreme Court has released 12 pointers that shall be kept in mind while writing the judgments in women related cases.
•    This positive step has been taken by Supreme Court after observing the patriarchal mindset with which such judgments are written.
•    “Courts should desist from expressing any stereotype opinion, in words spoken during proceedings or in the course of judicial order,” opined the Supreme Court.

2.    Formation of Committee for Valuation of trees: SC

•    The Supreme Court of India has ordered the formation of a Committee for the economic valuation of the trees that are felled for the for projects related to highways and bridges.
•    The Court has asked the Centre to provide this Committee with all the facilities that may be needed.

3.    Petition against observations cannot be filed: SC

•    In a plea filed by the Centre against the findings in Rhea Chakraborty’s bail order, the Supreme Court has told the Centre that such a petition cannot be filed.
•    “You cannot file a petition challenging the observations. You can only challenge the order,” SC opined.

4.    HC must give reasons for granting interim relief u/s 482 CrPC: SC

•    A Bench of Justice Chandrachud, Justice MR Shah and Justice Sanjiv Khanna was deliberating over the power for granting interim relief u/s 482 CrPC and matters related thereto.
•    The SC has held reasons must be given properly for such orders.
•    “The reasoning is important not just for the lawyers but also for the higher court,” the Court opined.

5.    SC on Lawyers’ demands for priority in vaccination

•    The Lawyers have demanded for priority in vaccination as they have to come in contact of many people. It is something that their work requires.
•    During the hearings, the Supreme Court opined it to be a ‘genuine concern’ of the Advocates.
•    “Advocates can only earn livelihood only if they come into contact with people. They need assurance that they will not die if they come into contact with people,” observed the Court.
