A letter was written to the President of Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA), by the High Court Registrar, for permission to access the chambers of the lawyers, to have access to books, files and other documents.

The Delhi High Court has given this permission to the lawyers. This was done by issuance of an Order by the Committee, responsible for preparing the Graded Action plan for normal functioning of the court. To give the access to the lawyer’s chambers, the Committee has laid few conditions keeping the COVID19 situation in mind. They are-

  1. The access will only be available between 10am to 12 noon and 2pm to 4pm.
  2. Only one lawyer can access the chamber, along with one assistance.
  3. The entry and exit of the visitors should be closely monitored and regulated by DHCBA.
  4. No client or intern should be allowed to have access to the chamber.
  5. A report should be made after two weeks, to monitor and review the situation.
  6. Proper face masks is mandatory and the norm of social distancing should be followed.
  7. Common areas like consultation room, etc. should be remain closed.
