The special CBI court today rejected the bail pleas filed by DMK MP Kanimozhi and other seven accused in the 2G spectrum case.

Additional sessions judge OP Saini had on September 24 reserved his verdict on the applications. The others include Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman 
Balwa, former telecom minister A Raja's ex-private secretary RK Chandolia, Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar, directors of Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Asif Balwa and Rajiv Agarwal and Bollywood producer Karim Morani. Former telecom secretary Siddhartha Behura's plea would also be decided.


During the arguments on bail, CBI preferred not to oppose Kanimozhi's application. It also refrained from advancing any arguments against Bollywood producer Karim Morani, Kalaignar TV director Shard Kumar and partner of Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Asif Balwa. It was from Asif's company that Rs200 crore had moved to Cineyug Films Pvt Ltd and subsequently to Kalaignar TV.


However, the CBI opposed the bail pleas of Shahid Balwa, Chandolia and Behura. Regarding Shahid Balwa and Chandolia.
