  • The court ordered the husband to pay monthly alimony of $300 to his wife also custody of the child was given to Miss Wang.
  • The court also awarded Miss Wang compensation of 50,000 Yuan for household chores which she did during 5 years of the courtship period.


CONCLUSION

The decision of the court raised hopes in China as getting a divorce is not only a hardship for women in China but also claiming rights in the property is equally hard. But the important part of the judgement which gained attention was getting compensation for household chores which has never happened in any country.
