• The petition is filed in the north Bihar town of Muzaffarpur by Gyan Prakash through his counsel Sudhir Kumar Ojha who as a matter of fact has earned a reputation of ‘serial litigant’ as he has filed several petitions against politicians, Bollywood personalities etc.
• The petition is filed in the court of the acting Chief Judicial Magistrate Shailendra Rai.

• The petition acknowledges the comments made by Baba Ramdev against the allopathic system of medicine, including coronavirus vaccines.
• The petition calls his utterances as “fraudulent” and sought to invoke IPC sections pertaining to sedition and cheating besides the Disaster Management Act.
• The Indian Medical Association too has been disapproving of Baba Ramdev for disregarding the tireless efforts of medical professionals who did not hesitate going the extra mile during the pandemic.
• The matter will be taken up in court on June 7.
