Dr. Sutanu Behuria takes Over as Secretary, Ministery of Minority Affairs

Dr. Sutanu Behuria has taken over as the new Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. He has replaced Dr. Surajit Mitra, who superannuated yesterday.

Born on 2nd July 1954, Dr. Behuria belongs to the 1976 batch (H.P. cadre) of the I.A.S. Prior to this he served as Secretary, National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs; and before that he was Secretary in the Dept. Of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. Thus, the new Secretary brings with him rich and varied administrative experience to the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
