Setting up of Equal Opportunity Commission

Government has said that an expert group set up to examine and determine the structure and functions of an Equal Opportunity Commission (EOC) has submitted its report along with a draft EOC Bill. Giving this information in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Shri Vincent H. Pala, Minister of State for Minority Affairs, said that the proposal along with the draft Bill for setting up of EOC is under consideration of the Government.
