They are Ajitsimha Rao, senior civil judge, Vijayender Reddy, second additional district judge of Ranga Reddy, M. Kistappa, senior civil judge of Ananthapur, Srinivasachary, senior civil judge of Bapatla and Hanumantha Rao, additional junior civil judge of Warangal. The High Court was informed that their names figured in the list of persons who were debarred for alleged involvement in malpractices in the examination centre.

Viewing the reports seriously, Chief Justice Nisar Mohamad Kakru called for a preliminary report and, as per the due procedure, these officers were kept under suspension. Departmental proceedings are being initiated.

I am sure the matter will be brushed under the carpet and the judges will be back very soon to give their unlearned judgements. How many other judges have been promoted already through cheating in exams?

Judges once again proved that they are no different from ordinary susceptible citizens. When entire social fabric is corrupted, judges are also weaved from the same fabric. The corruption, nepotism and out of tune conduct is no news to common man. I am of the view only checks and balance have to be put into system, so that misdemeanors of individual functionaries can be prevented. It is high time judges and the judgments are monitored by suitable means and judicial audit and grievance mechanism is strengthened, to uphold the justice deliverance.
