High Court Division Bench comprised of Justice Pankaj Kumar Jaiswal and Justice Karunesh Singh Pawar has directed Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD)to implement the order of Apex Court and provide updated report of their policy for providing nutritional food to the children, lactating and nursing mothers in the situation of Coid-19, in relation to the direction passed by Supreme Court.

The Allahabad High Court while dealing with a PIL filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus restraining the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development from issuing any advertisement any finalizing any tender or scheme on the basis of the present scheme of ICDS in pursuance of the order passed by the Apex Court, the bench has asked the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development to show their written report regarding the policy in pursuance of the order passed by the Supreme Court.

Earlier, SC had directed states including Uttar Pradesh to frame policy to ensure that the scheme for providing nutritional food to the children, lactating and nursing mothers are not adversely affected in the situation of Covid-19.

The present matter has been further listed for hearing on 07 August, 2020.
