Indirect Taxation
Manage day-to-day tax compliance such as witholding tax, payment on due dates, reconciliation of recovery to payment etc IN ORDER TO comply with statutory requirement.

Audit
Monitor compliance with statutory requirements, liaison with auditors for timely completion of audit, close identified non-compliances, implement processes and procedural requirements as per SOX compliance IN ORDER TO ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

IT Planning and Monitoring
Integrate financial reporting systems across the company, represent accounting in material management user team of SAP IN ORDER TO develop an efficient accounting information system.

Being a COMPANY MANAGER – TAXATION in the company during 1994 to 2009, I was the one among the people who were instrumental to ensure compliance of fiscal laws with minimum tax burden on the company by proper tax planning, Using external consultants for governance and compliance issues. Advising internal customer’s viz. Purchase, Sales and Marketing on implication of fiscal laws, backing to Head of Taxation and handling all compliance of units, Make Representation before Government committees on fiscal governance. Regular review of disputes and provisions in books to avoid any surprise. Review and restructure approaches to availment of union Cenvat credits. Review the existing business processes and suggest changes in line with amendments in fiscal laws. Suggesting various benefits/options available under the boundaries of fiscal laws at the time of setting up of new units / introduction of new products.
