It connotes that the Prosecution has tried to procure the attendance of the witnesses. However, they had failed to produce the said witnesses owing to change of address, etc, prosecution shall declare to the court that despite of best efforts the said witnesses attendance cannot be procured, hence to giveup/ drop the said witnesses so that the evidence w.r.t said witnesses shall be closed so that the other witnesses as enumerated in the chargesheet can be examined further, if any, in the interest of justice.
