Hi. I took a flat in Nalasopara, Thane in June 2010. I did the title clearance of this property before applying for home loan from Bank of Baroda and the society issued NOC for the deal as well. After almost 9 months, the society has received a notice from Union Bank of India for issuance of the share certificate stating that there is an ongoing loan on my flat since 2006 and it is in another person's name. In the title clearance papers, there is no mention of this person in the chain of ownership.
Please provide me guidance for next steps. I have plans to sell this flat and the society has raised objections for issuing NOC. Who should I approach to clear this matter.
