Trespassing of property

Hello Experts,

We puchased a plot many many (30-40) years ago.
Though this land originally belonged to govt. some 50-60 years, we had to purchase it from it's seller who managed to change ownership to his name by some means, and sold to many people like us.
As this plot provides access to road from our other plots, we had no option but to buy it that time to avoid future conflicts.
Now we are facing issues in getting the khata for this land. We have only proof of purchase, but no khata at present. We are hearing since these are govt. lands, khata may(never) be issued. We are actively pursueing the next steps. Any decision from govt. in this regard is fine with us.

Coming to main issue-

We have boundary wall and a house constructed, people leaving on this plot for 30 years.
Rumours that there are some criminal elements considering to trespass this property by breaking boundary wall etc.

These people dont obviously have any legal docuents for this land.

But we are in a state where Final khata is not being issued, and only we have proof of purchase/possesion,

If any such criminal activity takes place , what are the options to explore?

Thanks in advance
