Stop payment of cheque

If a cheque is dishonoured because the payment has been stopped in advance by the issuer, are there any legal options available to the payee?

if  the issuer of the cheque has some liability to issue the cheque towards you  then you can file cheque bounce case u/s 138 nia.

Yes the payee can still file the cheque bounce case under section 138 of negotiable instruments act.

Yes stop payment is equal to non sufficient funds in account.  You can take action under section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act
