Starting an ngo regarding

Hi,

I am working as contractual staff at Uttarakhand government department and I want to start an NGO.

Is it possible for me to register an NGO and start working while on contracutal job with government?

Is there any legal boundation for starting NGO for me?

Can I take a position in the NGO and salary also?

Please guide me as I am very confused and didn't get any guidance.

you can. But you cant join on salary without permission form your department. You need 7 persons for starting a society. read your state society registration act all details are given You have to choose one category of your proposed NGO. It requires some work.
