A male not being a child is receiving anonymous calls and whats app messages suddenly from other males who are thinking his contact number belongs to a female or otherwise . He warned and blocked several numbers but still receiving such calls and messages from different and same numbers on daily basis from past one week. The content of messages are not of s*xual or obscene or explicit character but hiii 's or flowers ,emojis etc. similar to stalking . it is causing gross annoyance and inconvenience to him mentally. what provisions of criminal law or in other law are attracted in this case and what steps should be taken by him to avoid such annoyance and inconvenience ?
