Solitary confinement of a kid at school

Hi, My nephew was put under solitary confinement for coming to school by a minute, they did not even consider the psychological impact this would have on a 7 yrs old kid who is only in his 3rd Grade. what legal course can I take to address it.

Issue a notice to the school to explain the conduct, Then you can file petition to put them to task.

1.  Keeping the Child in a detention room (tenporarily) for violating the School norms, CANNOT be classifed as "solitary confinement" and would not attract any legal action, more so since there would be no legal evidence or witnesses to the same.

2.  However make a written complaint to the school PTA and suggest adversely about the action of the school.
