my fathers brother & sister hold a joint savings account in a nationalized bank, it is a either or survivor basis a/c. my fathers sister has issued a letter to the bank & blocked the account no no funds can be drawn. can a bank block the account on anyone persons letter ?? , the bank had not informed the other holder till one chq that was issued bounced back with reason account blocked. is it not duty of bank / manager/ staff to intimate to other party that one signatory has blocked the account? there are some funds in this account to be distrubuited among several family members pls advise & advise best recourse. rgds harresh vasudev Read more at: https://www.lawyersclubindia.com/forum/details.asp?mod_id=200703&message=MESSAGE%20MODIFIED
